The incidence of drug dependency has been estimated as high as 10-12% in the general population. Surprisingly, physician drug dependency is even higher – with some estimates as high as 15-17% of all physicians. The Board of Chiropractic Examiners disciplines harshly those physicians who are discovered abusing and dependent on alcohol, “dangerous drugs”, or “controlled substances.” Review the Board’s position in this critically important area and protect yourself, your practice, and your family – at all times.
