New Beginnings Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Florida

What is IOP?

IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) is a drug and alcohol counseling program for those that do not have the option to check into a lengthy residential drug rehab facility, or that have personal, work, or school schedule limitations. For many, this more intensive program in early drug and alcohol addiction recovery is necessary to lay a solid foundation need for a lifelong stability.

New Beginnings Recovery Center (NBRC) offers many group addiction counseling options that fit just about anyone’s busy schedule. Day and night groups meet 5 days a week. Individual drug or alcohol counseling is an option that is offered to complement the IOP program. This outpatient program is an ideal option for those that cannot afford an interruption of work or school. Highly flexible treatment planning allows us to put together the right mix of individual and group sessions that adhere to your personal schedule.

The NBRC IOP provides a blend of addiction education and psychotherapy. Patients learn about addiction, family systems, defense mechanisms, working relapse prevention, and the 12 Steps of addiction recovery. Group therapy is an essential component of the addiction recovery process; with the help of New Beginnings Recovery Center, you will receive the care and guidance of the finest professionals – that communicate with you throughout your intensive outpatient drug or alcohol treatment program.

What makes New Beginnings Recovery Center different from traditional IOP programs?

The clinical staff at NBRC use an eclectic approach to treating addiction. Many traditional IOP programs focus mostly on relapse prevention and general early recovery skills and 12 step concepts, such as the identification of relapse triggers, the development of a sober support system and treating symptoms of addiction that present in the here in now. While obviously at NBRC we address all of these aspects of the recovery process, we go much deeper into the underpinnings of addiction. We don’t simply chase symptoms.

What are the Benefits of an Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Program?

• You receive the counseling and guidance of some of the finest addiction treatment professionals in the business.
• Because the NBRC IOP is an outpatient drug and alcohol program, you return home at the end of every program day and take comfort in the familiarity of your own environment.
• Those who have a family to take care of cannot, simply up-and-leave for an extended period of time; outpatient care offers the chance to be a parent, husband, or wife while recovering from drug and alcohol dependency.
• As schedules allow, you’ll take part in outpatient treatment for addiction while continuing your education or maintaining a presence at work.
• Patients are in the “real world” navigating the daily stressors that they will face while in treatment.
• A very safe place to share and reflect with therapists and other group members. Groups are small, therefore, there is a great degree of individual attention by the therapist.
• Group therapy provides an opportunity to observe and reflect on your own and others’ interpersonal skills.
• All group participants have access to the vast array of clinical, medical, mental health, and psychiatric services offered on site at NBRC.
• Frequently, upon leaving inpatient treatment, IOP in conjunction with a stable transitional living environment (sober living) may set the foundation a solid program of recovery.
