ABC’s 20/20 co-anchor Elizabeth Vargas has checked into rehab for alcoholism. The part Puerto Rican news anchor has been receiving treatment for several weeks. She released a statement saying “Like so many people, I am dealing with addiction. I realized I was becoming increasingly dependent on alcohol. I am in treatment and am so thankful for the love and support of my family, friends and colleagues at ABC news.” Elizabeth hopes her story can help others who are struggling with addiction.
