It stinks to have to rehab and it stinks to have a couple major injuries the last few years,
but at the end of the day, I love taking the field, and if I can do this rehab and put in the time to get back on the field and do what I love doing, then it’s well doing in my mind.”

David Wright Back in Mets’ Camp, With No Timetable for Return –
By DAVID WALDSTEINMARCH 2, 2017
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — David Wright returned to Mets camp on Thursday vowing to return to the field,
but only after completing what he described as a time-consuming rehabilitation process.
He is unable to throw a baseball because of the pain in his shoulder, he said, but doctors have assured him
that if he follows a comprehensive plan to strengthen the shoulder, he “very possibly” can get back on the field again.
“It’s been told to me that if I do the rehab correctly, if I give it time to strengthen the shoulder to get it working properly,
that everything should be good to go, obviously with some maintenance,” he said.
“I’ll give everything I have to the rehab and hopefully be out there helping my teammates as soon as possible.”
Sandy Alderson, the Mets’ general manager, said Wright would not throw for about two weeks
and then begin throwing gradually, but Wright refused to put a timetable on his return.
