It is now known that genetic variants can form the basis of psychiatric disorders, such as depression and anxiety. Professor Jonathan Flint is investigating the genetics behind psychiatric disorders, in particular the origins of stress-related conditions, such as anxiety and depression, for which we have relatively ineffective treatments.
