Jon Hamm, whose Mad Men character Don Draper drinks to excess and has long been waging a battle with booze, completed a stint in rehab prior to the premiere of the last season of the AMC show, his representative confirms to USA TODAY.
“With the support of his longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm recently completed treatment for his struggle with alcohol addiction,” said his rep, Annett Wolf, in a statement. “They have asked for privacy and sensitivity going forward.”
Last year, Hamm told USA TODAY he and Westfeldt were more than longtime partners. “We’re essentially married,” he said. “We just don’t have a piece of paper or rings.”
