Mike Gracy latest release on Mega International Records, produced by DOC HOLIDAY and recorded live at QUAD Studios in Nashville with the Legendary “A” Team. Michael Gracy: Born in Oklahoma, and raised on a Farming/Ranching operation in South Central Kansas, was influenced early in life by his fiddle playing Grandpa, and a guitar playing neighbor down the road. Mike’s dad bought him his first guitar at age 14 and was soon playing in a Country/Rock Band with that neighbor down the road. Michael or Mike as most people know him, has an easy manner and delivery of his music, and his songs are mostly about true life experiences. Says he’s been influenced by the styles of Don Williams, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Glen Campbell, and admires Garth Brooks, Allen Jackson, and his good friend Tommy Brandt. He put up the guitar shortly after getting married. Seems he had to get a real job that paid better. Mean while life seemed to have some ups and downs, and after dealing with his alcoholism for nearly 30 years he checked into a Alcohol Rehab. This was a turning point in his life. He started attending church and singing in the choir. His pastor found out he could play and asked him to do some specials in church. He sang Southern Gospel and put way to much Country into it. So the pastor suggested that Mike start writing his own songs telling how God had Graced his life. Well this led to many things.
