Paul Alexander Lewis is first and foremost an educator. He believes there should be no secrets, and “tricks of the trade” need to be shared with other therapists for their own sake and to benefit clients. He is a registered massage therapist, a CMTO- (Canada), NCBTMB- (U.S.), FHT- (Europe) accredited and approved provider. Paul has developed his own unique and effective treatment style called Dynamic Angular Petressage (DAP). On account of his approach to treatment, he receives many referrals to his Toronto clinic from surgeons (breast cancer), orthodontists (for TMJ) and—the biggest compliment—from other registered massage therapists with difficult cases.
Paul is an international presenter, combining his knowledge and experience into interactive and informative workshops and seminars, with a focus on biomechanics and technique allowing you to practice massage therapy with ease and grace and without strain on your body. Paul has presented and is scheduled to instruct upcoming workshops in Canada, the U.S., Japan, China and England. Join Paul Lewis for this three hour workshop on Post Surgical Treatment of Mastectomy/Breast Implants Saturday May 21st, 2011 at 2:00 pm. This practical workshop will be taught with lecture and demonstrations and exchanges. Upper body treatment techniques with a focus on Dynamic Angular Petrissage (DAP) will be introduced. Topics discussed and techniques demonstrated include: Client comfort and care, assessment techniques, use of hydrotherapy, segmental stretching, Myofascial treatment techniques, Joint Mobilizations and draping for client comfort.
